The excitement is building - our school musical, Treasure Island, is coming to Chantrell!
We have been singing and humming Pirate songs and the whole school is getting into the spirit!
Our class has started to read the book Treasure Island. There are lots of descriptive words in it.
We decided to practice our visualization by taking the words that describe 'the captain', and drawing how we think he looks.
Here are the adjectives and description from the story: tall, strong, wears a blue coat, ragged, black and broken fingernails, white scar on cheek, dirty face and dirty, torn clothing. Try to visualize how he might look.
Here are our visualizations of the captain! Does he look how you imagined him to look?
What great pirates! I'm very excited for the musical! ~Lisa
